"Earlier this year, Clearloop opened a solar farm located between White Pine and Morristown on U.S. 25E. Now, Clearloop is taking solar education a step further by providing resources and scholarships to area schools."

Thanks to Wade Littleton of the Citizen Tribune for highlighting the Next Generation Science Standards that Clearloop is supporting in Hamblin and Jefferson County Schools, near our White Pine Solar Project. These curriculum standards are used by teachers in 44 states across the country, and focus especially on educating young Americans about sources of renewable energy. We've partnered with local teachers in Hamblin and Jefferson counties to help students understand these standards in the context of their own community’s energy generation at the White Pine Solar Project. Speaking on our panel will be Co-founder and CEO of Clearloop, Laura Zapata, alongside Laura Corso, VP of Strategic Growth at WattTime; Joe Azar, Director of the Panola Partnership; and Andrew Peterman, Director of Advanced Energy Solutions for Rivian. This panel will outline how emissionality, a measurement of the relative benefits of a renewable energy project based on location, can help site solar projects in areas where they have the most economic, environmental, and health impact. We're entering the final week of Clearloop's 2024

We're entering the final week of Clearloop's 2024 summer internship program, and there's no better time to celebrate and thank the wonderful interns we've had the good fortune to work with this summer.

Emma Beganovic is a college senior and a Community Partnerships Intern at Clearloop pursuing a B.S. in Environmental Science with minors in Sustainability & Public Health from American University. A proud first-generation Bosnian-American born to refugee parents, Emma aspires through her work to empower distressed and marginalized communities with the tools they need for healthier, more sustainable lives.

Also a Community Partnerships Intern, Hayden Davidson is a junior at Vanderbilt University, majoring in Climate Studies and Human & Organizational Development. He's driven to do work that stimulates positive change and a better future by helping both people and the planet.

Manda Li, a recent graduate from Vanderbilt University with a Master's in Computer Science, has been Clearloop's Data Analytics Intern this summer. Contributing to the expansion of renewable energy has helped her see the balance between technological evolution and sustainability, and to understand how we can develop our economy with minimal emissions.

Meg Waite was a Commercial Partnerships Intern at Clearloop this summer. She's a junior at the University of Alaska Fairbanks with hopes to become a climate tech founder working to shift rural communities from fossil fuels in materials R&D while improving soil and watershed health. Meg is a first-generation non-traditional student with disabilities, and has 10 years of experience including in the outdoor industry, as a seasonal worker for the Bureau of Land Management, as an artist, and as a startup consultant.

Last, but not least, is Zakaria Maaieh, a Commercial Partnerships intern of Jordanian and Palestinian-American heritage. Zakaria is a senior studying the Political Economy of Sustainability at Vanderbilt University and is passionate about building a just society that will last long into the future.

We couldn't be more grateful to have had the chance to work with these fantastic young people this summer.
