Sunshine is the Best Disinfectant
Just add clean energy to the laundry list of reasons Dropps is committed to powerful cleaning! This Earth Day, we’re partnering with Dropps, one of the leading sustainable home care brands in the U.S., to continue their commitment to offset the shipping of all their products this year and reclaim the carbon footprint of the electricity their employees are using as they work from home through the end of 2021.
Dropps is reclaiming more than 1.3 million pounds of carbon by investing in almost 22,000 watts to help us reach our 1 million watt goal for our first project in Jackson, TN. That means that they’re helping us build 50 new solar panels, enough to expand access to clean energy to at least 4 homes in Jackson, TN.
A Sustainable Way to Clean Your Closet, Powered by Nature (AKA the Sun)
By taking action now, Drops is working to provide a ray of sunshine and helping build a solar project that will be cleaning up the electricity grid for the next 40 years.
The best news: you too can join us , and use sunshine to clean up the grid
How It Works
- Measure: Dropps already produces thoughtful, eco-responsible cleaning products. Even though they have a small carbon footprint, instead of ignoring it, Dropps chose to measure their shipping and employee home energy use carbon footprint, which is about 1.3 million pounds of CO2 for 2021.
- Reclaim: Dropps has committed to reclaiming the carbon footprint of both activities by investing in the construction of nearly 22,000 watts, or 50 solar panels.
- Expand Access to Clean Energy: Thanks in part to Dropps’ investment, Clearloop will soon reach its goal of building 1 million watts of solar power in Jackson, TN, creating enough clean energy to power 200 homes.
Clean clothes, clean dishes, and clean electricity
By reclaiming their carbon footprint today, Dropps is helping to make carbon a relic of the past, as we clean up the grid together. Their commitment to powerful cleaning from nature extends to the grid, by investing in more solar power in communities otherwise getting left behind — a great way to celebrate Earth Day!
We want to multiply the impact of everyday actions – to help slash greenhouse gas emissions and ensure that communities across the country have equitable access to clean energy.
We’re ready to get to work with businesses big and small to clean up our electricity grid. If you think your company is interested in getting involved, reach out here or drop us a line at hello@clearloop.us.
